CCCX Cross-Country #9

Last weekend was the time of CCCX Cross-country round #9. Fort Ord in Seaside, CA was the place. Point One Racing's Mike, Jimmy and Alex Amaral showed up to show all the other racers how it was done. Using lightweight components such as our 50mm Split-Second stem and prototype pedals, every time advantage was gained.

Jimmy Amaral quickly moved with the pace and eventually jumped out in front. With his superior descending skills, he was able to make quick work of the field and bring home a victory.

Alex Amaral jumped off the start to try and gap everybody. Using his lightweight bike and bike handling skills, he managed a second place out of ten in the junior class, very impressive for the young 16-year-old.

Mike Amaral had a smaller class, but the competition was every bit as intense. With a struggle early in the race with a few unfortunately mechanicals, he charged hard, but barely missed the box. Stay tuned for the final race this weekend!
