Emmeline does it again!

Another brilliant victory by the French rider at round two of the North Island DH cup in New Zealand! Emmeline will continue her training and focus in preparation for the start of the world cup season in April. All of us at Point One Racing are impressed!

Muddy Santa Cruz ride! 12/14/08

A few of the Point One Racing team headed out to brave the cold and rain along some undisclosed trails in Santa Cruz, CA. Traction was perfect for about 80% of the ride, but some normally tacky shoots became mud slides and washed us away. Ultimately, this is how the story ended up: muddy bikes and happy faces!

Cow Palace Bicycle Trade Show & Swap Meet

Point One Racing saddled up their gear and headed out to the rodeo this past weekend to the Bay Area Bicycle Trade Show & Swap Meet at the Cow Palace in Daly City, CA. Two huge halls held an area for both vendors debuting products and swappers out there looking to either swing or steal a deal. On top of that there was GoldSprint demo there, where you can have an all out race against your friends! Even more exciting though, was Point One Racing showcasing the new Split-Second 70 stem and Limited Edition Split-Second 50. Eager crowds were baffled as to how light it could be, so of course we had a gram counter to prove them right! Stay tuned because we will be back next year to tip even bigger cows at the Bay Area Bicycle Trade Show & Swap Meet.

Race for Tara 2

On November 8th, Sand Hill Ranch in Brentwood, CA held the "Race for Tara 2." This time with Tara Llanes herself being there. Point One Racing was out supporting the cause to raise relief money and watch some great racing action! Lots of fast pros were there including Team Giant (who also donated very generously to the raffle) and their Olympic pride and joy: Adam Craig. Good times were had by all and Tara gave a very heartfelt speech thanking all the sponsors for participating. When the dust settled, local boy Drew Powers took the win over Jared Rando, Mikey Haderer and John Hauer. In the women's field it was a dominate Lainey Aldridge who took the win, way to go! Stay tuned next year for the "Race for Tara Tres" now with Dual Slalom!

Last weekend, a select group of Point One racers headed deep into gold country to seek pristine trails and endless adventure. Downieville, CA has been home to the ever famous 17-mile downhill race. With rock outcroppings, sheer cliff and high altitude, it is the ultimate iron man race course. A literal proving ground for Point One Racing components. Here, in a rare moment of candor, everyone got to smile.
